Missy Higgins on singing out for change

How could you use your voice to make a difference? It's something Missy Higgins has spent a lot of time thinking about. The much-loved Australian singer-songwriter opens our 2017 Conversations Series, sharing her journey to make music about the issues she feels deeply about.

In recent years Missy has campaigned to save the Kimberly, studied Indigenous Studies, met her husband Dan and given birth to her son Samuel.
We'll chat it all out and explore how she hopes to use her platform to speak out.

Missy's latest song "Oh Canada" is a tribute to Aylan Kurdi, the Syrian toddler who drowned while trying to get to Canada with his family on a small boat in 2015. See it here.
